  • 1/2 cup Custard powder
  • 4 cups Milk Chilled milk for smoother custard.
  • 1/2 cup Sugar Adjust based on sweetness preference.
For Layering
  • 1 cup Whipped cream Use for topping.
  • 2 cups Fruits Such as strawberries, bananas, or other seasonal favorites.
  • 1 package Ladyfingers or sponge cake Use as a base layer.

Method

Preparation
  1. Prepare the jelly: Start by following the package instructions to prepare the jelly. Once it's ready, pour it into a dish and let it set completely.
  2. Make the custard: In a saucepan, combine custard powder with sugar and a splash of milk to make a paste. Gradually stir in the remaining milk, then heat the mixture while stirring continuously until it thickens. Remove from heat and let it cool.
Layering
  1. Layer your trifle: Begin by layering in a serving dish with the set jelly, followed by the custard. Add a layer of your chosen fruits next.
  2. Repeat layers: Continue to layer jelly, custard, and fruits until the dish is filled to your liking.
  3. Top it off: Finish with a generous dollop of whipped cream and garnish with additional fruits for that professional touch.
Chilling
  1. Chill: Cover the dish and refrigerate for at least an hour before serving.

Notes

To store, cover the dish tightly and refrigerate for up to 2 days. Avoid freezing to prevent separation.
