Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F and line your baking sheets with parchment paper or silicone mats.
- In a small bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, cornstarch, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Set this mixture aside.
- In a large mixing bowl, use an electric mixer to cream the softened butter and granulated sugar until it’s light and fluffy.
- Add the egg and vanilla extract, mixing until everything is smooth and well incorporated.
- Gradually blend the dry ingredients into the wet mixture on low speed until just combined. Don’t overmix!
- Carefully fold in the chopped Oreos and white chocolate chips.
- Using a small cookie scoop, form balls of cookie dough, gently flattening each ball before placing them on the baking sheet.
Baking
- Bake the cookies for 8-10 minutes. The edges should be set, while the centers may appear slightly underbaked—this ensures a soft texture!
- Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
These cookies shine when served warm straight from the oven with a glass of cold milk. Consider sandwiching two cookies together with vanilla ice cream for a delicious dessert!
